Obituary:
MaryLou (Malou) Deslate Deciembre Kizer, age 67, of Chicago, IL peacefully passed away at home on September 8, 2019. She was born in Roxas City, Philippines and immigrated to the United States in her 20s. She was a Registered Nurse who most recently worked in Quality Assurance at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. She was a member of and a leader at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Chicago where, at various points over the last 30 years, she taught Catechism, served as parish president, and helped create and lead the children’s choir, the youth choir, and the youth group. She was also a talented seamstress and cross-stitcher who loved making beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband Ben Leroy Kizer, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage, memories, and travels throughout the US and around the world. She also is survived by their children Gwynne Kizer (Matthew) Mashon and Jennifer Kizer, her grandchildren Levi Mashon and Ophelia Mashon, her siblings Ofelia Del Rosario, Sylvia (Phil) Jasmin, Corazon Tong Sy, Cynthia Tongsy, Fernando (Rosemary) Tongsy, Ruby (Antonio) Viloria, and her twin sister Mary Ann (Chiming) Wu, her sisters-in-law Carol (Pete) Johnson, Mary Kizer, and Marigold Tongsy, her dogs Danny and Alexis, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends all of whom knew her, loved her, and will miss her dearly. We are comforted in knowing that she is welcomed into Heaven by her daughter Cynthia Melissa Kizer, her parents Enrique and Rufina Tong Sy, her siblings Vicente Tongsy and Virginia Tong Sy, and her brothers-in-law William Kizer and Francisco Del Rosario
