Obituary:
It is with great sadness that the family of Verica Krkljus announces her passing after a sudden illness. She was born on July 22, 1948 in Melenci, Vojvodina, Yugoslavia, to the late Mirjana and the late Miladin Vajdic. Verica passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 70 years old, with family by her side, at The Bridge at Ooltewah care facility, in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

She was a devoted Mother, whose love and tenderness in all things will remain unsurpassed to those that knew and loved her. Verica will be lovingly remembered by her Children: Daughters, Natalie (Brian) Heisner and Diane (Joseph) Storelli, and Son, Mike (Marina) Krkljus; her Grandchildren: Devin and Ryan Heisner, Sophia and Juliana Storelli, and Eva, Hana, and Amelia Krkljus; her Brother and Sister-In-Law: Milan and Lily Vajdic, and their children, Andrea (Jose) and Rebecca, with their Grandchildren, Angelica and Liliana.

Affectionately known to her family as “Baba” in her later years (a name that came about with the arrival of her grandchildren), she was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus, loved her family, and is remembered by all who knew her as a warm and sincere person who loved people
and had a heart that was unmatched. She greeted everyone with a warm smile and often a hug, and shared her love to anyone she knew. She will be remembered fondly, and dearly missed by her family and friends.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life is held on Thursday, October, 25th, 2018, at 7pm, at Benson Family Funeral Home in Chicago, IL. A private Interment service will be held at Montrose Cemetery where she will be laid to rest near her loving father and mother.
